OVERVIEW
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will provide direct support to the systematization of the monitoring and evaluation processes in USCRI’s field offices in Latin America, which will contribute to repots given to external donors and for internal use. The M&E; Officer reports to the Regional Director, USCRI Latin America.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and refine program-level development and modifications;
- Work with program staff and development team to identify, recommend and implement tools to collect monitor and evaluate data;
- Ensure that monitoring and evaluation measures reflect client-centered criteria and indicators;
- Work with program staff to analyze the outcomes and impact of programs;
- Make evidence-based recommendations for program development; and
- Provides support for proposal development, including the contribution of M&E; components.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; Master’s degree in business, social services administration, non-profit management, related field, or equivalent experience preferred;
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience with NGO in the fields of migration, human rights or the 2030 Agenda;
- Experience in writing proposals, reports, and monitoring and evaluation;
- Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian response, for refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and/or other vulnerable populations;
- Experience with monitoring & evaluation activities to ensure program quality and compliance with donor requirements;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to government funders, donors, clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and experience, multicultural staff, community partners, and volunteers;
- Exceptional time management, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, financial systems, and database programs; and
- Commitment to USCRI’s values including demonstration of respect for others and appreciation of a multicultural workplace;
- Must pass a criminal background check and other screening requirements;
- Demonstrated support of USCRI’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace;
- Spoken and written Spanish and English is required.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Satisfactory completion of USCRI’s Orientation and Training; and
- Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity;
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
