Job Description
The Design Engineer II is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and support of mechanical components and motor-related systems used in power tools. This position will serve as a key technical resource for engineering, quality, production, operations, and supply chain teams, ensuring product performance, manufacturing continuity, and successful implementation of engineering changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate design, manufacturing, and process solutions for engineering challenges.
- Provide technical support to production and manufacturing operations.
- Support requests and investigations from Quality, Production, OPM, Customs, and other cross-functional departments.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA), troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation.
- Execute and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Conduct product and component validation activities, including DTP testing.
- Analyze technical risks associated with product and process changes.




- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and product specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, and cost optimization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical product design and engineering support.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience with 3D modeling and mechanical design software such as NX or SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of GD&T; principles and engineering documentation.
- Experience managing ECRs and ECNs.
