Position Summary:
The role of a Strategic MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Indirect Purchasing Buyer is pivotal in meticulously analyzing and responding to the demand for indirect materials. This position entails an in-depth understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) to decipher procurement requirements and optimize purchasing strategies. A core responsibility is to exhibit robust negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and costs with suppliers while continuously developing and evaluating new suppliers to enhance the efficiency of indirect material procurement. A key focus lies in the analysis of new materials and innovative sourcing strategies to consistently drive cost reduction and improvement initiatives, maintaining operational excellence in MRO procurement.
This position requires a strategic thinker who is adept at assessing demand, enhancing supplier relationships, and relentlessly pursuing innovative approaches to reduce costs and elevate the performance of indirect materials procurement.
