Purpose:
A workforce planner's primary duty is to ensure an organization has the right number of employees with the necessary skills, in the right place, with the required tools and equipment available at the right time, to meet current and future business needs.
This involves analyzing current data, forecasting future needs, developing and implementing actions/strategies to eliminate barriers to the plan. Collaborating with various departments/crafts to align plans with project objectives. They also monitor performance metrics, identify skill gaps, and recommend solutions such as training, hiring, procurement, material management and equipment needs.
