**Senior QA Engineer**

**About the Role**
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced **Senior QA Engineer** to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies. This position also requires **leadership**capabilities, as you will mentor and supervise other QA engineers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify testing scenarios and design test cases, test matrices, and documentation.
- Execute comprehensive test cycles, including functional, regression, and re-testing across multiple layers (unit, integration, system, and end-to-end).
- Perform non-functional testing, like performance and security testing.
- Track, document, and manage defect reports through to resolution.
- Document test results and communicate findings to relevant teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Supervise and mentor other QA engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
**Skills & Qualifications**
**Technical Skills**:
- Strong experience with **SQL databases**: MySQL.
- Proficient in **white-box and black-box testing methodologies**.
- Hands-on experience with **test automation tools**, particularly **Selenium**.
- Familiar with **API testing** using **Postman**.
- Skilled in using **JIRA** for issue tracking and **TestRail** for test case management.
- Experience with **version control systems**,



especially **GitHub**.
- Solid understanding of **Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)**, **Continuous Integration (CI)**, and **Continuous Delivery (CD)** pipelines.
**Soft Skills**:
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Clear and effective communication.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of **3 years** of proven experience in a similar QA role.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- **ISTQB Certification** required.
- English proficiency at or above 80% (spoken and written).
- Must be **based in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area**.
**Preferred**
- Experience working in **Scrum or other Agile environments**.
- Exposure to performance testing tools or security testing frameworks is a plus.
