The Senior FP&A; Analyst plays a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a maquiladora manufacturing operation.
This position supports decision‐making through detailed financial modeling, cost analysis, and operational insights, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes, related to operating expenses.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and strategic planning.
Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to align financial projections with production plans.
Performance Analysis
Analyze financial results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key variances and drivers.
Provide actionable insights on manufacturing efficiency, labor utilization, overhead, and Capex expenses.
Prepare management reports and presentations for local and corporate leadership.
Collaborate with plant managers to improve cost efficiency and productivity.
Reporting & Compliance
Support audits, internal and external (SOX) and maintain proper documentation.
Business Partnering
Act as finance business partner to operations and engineering.
Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) analysis, ROI evaluations, and business cases.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and enhance financial processes.
Strengthen internal controls and data accuracy across financial systems.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Experience
5–8+ years of FP&A;, finance, or cost accounting experience.
Experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment (IMMEX) is required.
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred.
Understanding of USD/MXN currency impact and cross‐border operations.
Languages
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required (daily interaction with corporate teams).
