You will not be responsible for answering guest messages or scheduling cleaners.
You will be responsible for ensuring the systems that handle those functions perform at a high level as we scale.You are accountable for outcomes, not activity.What You Will OwnYou own the operating system of Gather Getaways.
This includes:Scalable operational structure as property count increasesTeam design, accountability, and performanceProcess architecture across guest experience, cleaning, maintenance, and onboardingQuality control systems that prevent issues before they escalateOperational readiness for sustained monthly growthYou are expected to think 3–6 months ahead of the current portfolio size.Core ResponsibilitiesOperational Strategy & Scale ReadinessDesign and refine SOPs to support growth from 10 → 100+ propertiesBuild repeatable workflows for onboarding 2–4 properties per monthEnsure tools, systems,



and documentation scale ahead of demandRemove founder dependency from day-to-day operationTeam Leadership & AccountabilityLead and manage execution-level roles (guest experience, maintenance coordination, QA)Establish KPIs, scorecards, and accountability rhythmsIdentify gaps in skills, capacity, or structure as growth acceleratesRecommend hires and role adjustments based on forecasted demandQuality & Performance ManagementOwn guest satisfaction and review performanceOwn cleaning and turn quality through audits and reportingReduce refunds, escalations, and rework through proactive systemsMaintain consistency across properties as volume increasesCross-Functional JudgmentAct as the first escalation point for complex or high-impact issuesMake independent operational decisions within defined authorityClearly communicate risks, tradeoffs, and system constraints to leadershipBalance speed, quality, and cost as the portfolio growsReporting & MetricsTrack and report core operational KPIs weeklyTranslate data into clear insights and action plansProvide leadership with visibility without pulling them into executionWhat Success Looks Like (6–9 Months)Gather Getaways can onboard multiple properties per month without chaosFounder is no longer the operational backstopQuality metrics remain stable or improve during growthSOPs are documented, followed, and continuously improvedTeam operates with clarity, confidence,



and accountabilityRequired Experience3+ years in operations, hospitality, property management, or systems-heavy rolesExperience supporting or leading operational scaleStrong written and spoken EnglishProven ability to design and enforce processesComfort making decisions with incomplete informationShort-term rental or hospitality operations experienceExperience scaling from small portfolio to multi-market operationsFamiliarity with PMS platforms, QA workflows, and reporting dashboardsPrior responsibility for KPIs tied to quality, speed, and marginStructured, systems-oriented thinkerCalm under pressureHigh ownership mentalityClear, concise communicatorYou should enjoy building order before growth forces chaos.Authority & AutonomyThis role includes real decision-making authority.You will be trusted to: Make operational decisions without constant approval, Enforce standards across teams, Recommend hires, role changes, and system improvementsIf a role requires permission for every decision, it is not designed correctly.
