About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Audit Consultant to support a global multinational organization in executing risk-based audits across multiple countries and business units.
This role is ideal for a seasoned IT audit professional who combines deep technical knowledge with exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills. You will work alongside client audit teams in a co-sourced environment, partnering with business and technology leaders to assess risks, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement.
Location: Mexico City (CDMX)
Work Model: Fully On-Site (must be available to work across multiple client locations within CDMX)
Language Requirement: Advanced English (written and spoken)
What You Will Work On
As part of a global Internal Audit function, you will plan and execute IT audits across various operational environments, evaluating the effectiveness of technology controls and identifying opportunities to enhance risk management practices.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and execute IT audit engagements across integral business operations.
Evaluate IT General Controls (ITGCs), Application Controls, and technology risk management practices.
Assess control design and operating effectiveness within complex IT environments.
Conduct walkthroughs, testing procedures, and evidence reviews.
Identify control gaps, technology risks, and process improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to validate observations and recommend practical solutions.
Present audit findings and recommendations to management and audit leadership.
Maintain high-quality audit documentation and evidence within TeamMate Plus.
Support compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and global control frameworks.
Partner effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams across different geographies.
Engagement Structure
5 weeks from Nov to December 11, 2026
1-3 locations in CDMX and Estado de Mexico
This is a co-sourced audit model where RGP consultants work closely with the client's Internal Audit team.
What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
12-15 years of progressive experience in IT Audit, IT Risk, Internal Audit, or Technology Compliance.
Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate confidently with global stakeholders.
Strong consulting, influencing, and executive communication skills.
Experience working in multinational and matrixed organizations.
Proven ability to manage relationships with senior business and technology leaders.
Availability to work fully on-site in Mexico City.
Technical Expertise
Extensive knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs).
Experience assessing Application Controls across ERP and business systems.
Strong understanding of technology risk management and internal control frameworks.
Experience evaluating access management, change management, IT operations, cybersecurity controls, and system development processes.
Knowledge of SOX, COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar control frameworks is highly desirable.
Familiarity with audit management tools such as TeamMate Plus.
Preferred Certifications
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) strongly preferred.
Additional certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CIA, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.
