This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for working scientists, researchers, and academics who want to contribute meaningfully to AI development on their own schedule.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines to design complex, nuanced problem statements
Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, depth, and rigor
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen AI model performance
Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and intellectual depth across all deliverables
Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Hold a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.)
Deep subject-matter expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or analytical tasks
Exceptionally clear written communicator — able to explain complex scientific concepts with precision
Detail-oriented and rigorous in your approach to scientific problems
Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
Background in academic publishing, peer review, or scientific writing
Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts as an end user
