This is Project-based contract under Mexican Federal Labor Law (1 month with possibility of extension). ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Claude Code Engineer to join a focused 1-month project working directly alongside our US Product Owner.

You won't be building a generic application from scratch. Instead, you'll step into an active Python/AWS environment to strengthen, optimize, and customize an existing AI plugin. You will refine memory/context systems, adjust confidence thresholds, expand prompt skills, and help reskin the base system for specific industry clients.

The adecuado candidate views AI tools as force multipliers, uses modern AI workflows (like Claude Code/Skills) in their day-to-day engineering, and can be trusted to make smart architectural decisions autonomously. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plugin Architecture & Optimization: Review and improve the core AI plugin—making the memory/context management system more robust, self-maintaining, and predictable.

LLM & Prompt Engineering: Adjust prompt skills, fine-tune commitment-tracking confidence thresholds, and set up evaluation/A/B testing across model versions (OpenAI / Anthropic / AWS Bedrock).

System Customization: Adapt and reskin the base AI system for specific client verticals and industry use cases.

AWS & Backend Integration: Work with Python backends and AWS infrastructure to fix bugs, optimize API integrations, and ensure stable performance.

Autonomous Problem Solving: Take high-level goals from the Product Lead, investigate code behavior, and execute clean, production-ready solutions independently. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS





3+ Years of Software Engineering Experience with strong foundations in Python and cloud backends.

AWS & Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience building or refactoring cloud-based AI systems using AWS (e.g., Bedrock, API Gateway, EC2, S3, Lambda).

LLM Engineering & Prompting: Deep practical experience with prompt engineering, context/memory management, RAG systems, and A/B testing LLM outputs.

Advanced Dev Workflow: Active user of AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, custom prompt skills, architecture enforcement tools) to move fast without sacrificing code quality.

Proficient English (B2-C2): Clear, polished English communication skills—comfortable jumping on calls with product stakeholders and end clients.

High Technical Agency: Enjoys diving deep into technical issues, taking ownership of solutions, and delivering results with minimal supervision. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or related technical fields (Master's in AI/ML is a big plus).

Experience building or customizing browser extensions, plugins, or conversational agents.

Background in early-stage startups or fast-paced technical consultancies. WHAT WE OFFER
