XFX is infrastructure for capital-efficient FX — the integral settlement layer for programmable finance. Money should move with the same speed and efficiency as information; today, trillions sit idle just to guarantee execution. That idle capital is the Capital Tax, and it accounts for roughly 80% of the cost of FX globally.

XFX compresses it: every trade clears at fair value or better, routes through deeper liquidity than any single venue offers, and settles delivery-versus-payment — meaning capital moves only when trades do. No pre-funding. No nostro accounts.

No correspondent intermediaries holding your money. Compounded across a balance sheet, that's a structurally different cost of capital. Since launching in September 2025, XFX has grown to $7B in annualized volume, with customers trading on ~80% of days since activation.

We're a small, high-conviction team of operators backed by Castle Island Ventures, Haun Ventures, Oak HC/FT, Coinbase Ventures, MAYA Capital, Paxos, and Bitso, moving toward Series B. The role

You'll partner closely with the CFO to build and run the financial backbone of XFX. You'll own finance operations across accounting, treasury, tax, and financial systems, ensuring the monthly close, tax compliance, and day-to-day financial operations run smoothly across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

This isn't a traditional accounting role. We're looking for someone who enjoys building from scratch—designing scalable processes, automating repetitive work, and leveraging AI and modern tools to help finance scale through systems, not headcount. As a lean team, you'll wear multiple hats across accounting, treasury, operations, and special projects.

You'll have significant ownership from day one and direct visibility into how a cross-border fintech builds its financial infrastructure. What you'll do

Accounting & Financial Operations





Own the monthly close process end-to-end, coordinating external accounting and tax firms across multiple jurisdictions.

Review financial statements, reconciliations, revenue reporting, and maintain accounting policies and intercompany processes.

Manage day-to-day finance operations, including tax coordination, treasury, payments, banking relationships, accounts payable, invoicing, collections, and partner settlements.

Monitor cash, liquidity, burn rate, and runway while building scalable financial controls.

Design and automate finance workflows using AI, APIs, and modern tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

Implement the finance systems and reporting infrastructure needed as XFX grows.

Own high-impact cross-functional projects and support the CFO across finance, operations, and other strategic initiatives. Who you are

You enjoy building systems, improving processes, and solving problems where no playbook exists. You're equally comfortable reviewing a reconciliation, automating a workflow, or coordinating with external advisors. You take initiative, thrive in ambiguity, and enjoy wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing company.

You might thrive in this role if you: Have 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or controllership within startups, fintech, or financial services, with a track record of supervising or coordinating external accounting/tax providers rather than only executing the accounting yourself.

Have a strong accounting foundation through public accounting and/or in-house experience.

Have experience improving, systematizing, or automating financial processes.

Enjoy leveraging AI and technology to eliminate manual work and increase efficiency.

Can manage multiple workstreams while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Are proactive, resourceful, and excited to build alongside a small, high-performing team.

Fluent in English and Spanish.
