: Paralegal – Immigration Law Type: Full-Time Working Hours: Full time (40 hours) Compensation: $1000 per month Full-time About the Client: Our client is a professional US-based law firm specializing in providing expert legal services in immigration law.
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and independent Immigration Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting the attorney in managing immigration cases from start to finish. This position is perfect for a results-focused professional who thrives on autonomy and delivering high-quality work without heavy supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file a variety of immigration forms with USCIS and EOIR.
- Draft and submit Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to relevant government agencies.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for detention and bond cases, including gathering and organizing critical evidence for bond hearings.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, communicating clearly and compassionately in both Spanish and English.
- Manage and maintain organized case files, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
- Intermediate proficiency with immigration forms and procedures (USCIS, EOIR, FOIA).
- Advanced fluency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Intermediate experience in case file management and record-keeping.
- Intermediate professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and document organization abilities (Intermediate).
- Proficiency with USCIS and EOIR online portals.
- C1/C2 English level is required (written and verbal).
Nice to Have Skills
- Intermediate experience in bond hearing preparation and evidence gathering.
- Basic knowledge of detention case procedures.
- Basic experience with client intake and management.
- Experience with Prima Law system.
