This is a temporary , full-time position created to support terminal operations based on current business needs.
The Rigger is responsible for executing the rigging activities required for the safe movement of ISO containers and heavy equipment at our plant/terminal located at the Port of Pichilingue, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The Rigger is responsible for preparing materials prior to lifting operations, installing and dismantling lifting gear, supporting the operation of heavy equipment when required, and ensuring all activities are carried out safely and efficiently. The Rigger will maintain effective communication with the operations team and ensure compliance with the Company's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures.
Attach and secure wire ropes, slings, and other rigging equipment, selecting the appropriate attachment points and load capacities for each lift. Prepare lifting equipment, including slings, pulleys, shackles, clamps, bolts, and other rigging accessories. Inspect lifting equipment before and after each use, and properly store and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it remains in safe working condition.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in port terminals, logistics centers, industrial facilities, or similar operational environments. Knowledge of safe cargo handling, rigging, lifting, container stacking, and terminal operations. Knowledge of the proper use and inspection of rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, pulleys, and other lifting accessories.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by operational needs.
