Semiconductor Material Science Expert (AI Training) About The Role What if your deep expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons about the physical world? We're looking for Material Science specialists — Masters and PhD holders — to tackle advanced problems that push AI to think more like a domain expert. This is a fully remote, adaptable contract role designed to fit around your schedule.
You'll work asynchronously alongside AI researchers, applying your scientific knowledge where it matters most: at the frontier of AI development.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world relevance
Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related areas to design complex, nuanced problem statements
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning
Evaluate the scientific rigor, accuracy, and clarity of AI-generated outputs in your area of expertise
Ensure depth and precision across all deliverables — your standards set the bar Who You Are Master's or PhD in Material Science, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
Proficient in Python or MATLAB for research applications or technical problem-solving
Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex concepts with precision
Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
Fluent in English Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
Background in computational materials science, surface science, or nanomaterials
Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts as they relate to materials research
