Senior Infrastructure & Systems Developer – GCP / BigQuery (Remote – Mexico)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Systems Developer with strong expertise in GCP, BigQuery infrastructure, distributed systems, and CI/CD automation. The idóneo candidate will help maintain and improve large-scale engineering environments that support critical data platform workloads. This role is focused on infrastructure reliability, automation, developer productivity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop infrastructure automation tools using Python.

Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, including presubmit, nightly build, and test automation frameworks.

Support large-scale distributed systems across multi-region environments.

Improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of engineering infrastructure.

Automate manual operational tasks and reduce engineering toil.

Troubleshoot infrastructure, build, and test environment issues.

Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve code health and deployment quality.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.

Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.





Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and large-scale infrastructure operations.

Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or equivalent cluster management systems.

Strong experience with CI/CD tools and build/test automation pipelines.

Experience working in Linux-based production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to Java, J2EE, or C++.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery environments.

Familiarity with large-scale cluster management concepts (Borg or similar schedulers).

Experience with observability, log analysis, performance troubleshooting, and automated remediation.

Exposure to AI/ML-assisted operations or intelligent automation tooling is a plus.
