job overview

oversees equipment maintenance and leads maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance in the organization to ensure a longer lifespan of machines and facilities.

job requirements

- overseeing maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling, and performance management to ensure measurable goals, goal satisfaction, and effective staff performance management.
- supervising and implementing continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, and efficiency through kaizen, 8d, and lean six sigma methodologies.
- overseeing preventive and condition base maintenance targeting to achieve maximum availability of equipment and zero production downtime.
- developing and publishing standard operating procedures (sops) to correctly utilize and maintain facilities throughout the unit.

key responsibilities

- lead and supervise maintenance team members, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- execute and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize recurring failures and production downtime.
- manage departmental maintenance expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction and equipment improvements.
- provide management with regular updates regarding maintenance performance, costs, and operational status.
- develop and monitor equipment downtime metrics, productivity reports, and maintenance kpis.
- support the acquisition, installation, modification, and commissioning of machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure.
- supervise maintenance activities related to critical plant utilities, including electricity, water, gas, compressed air, and hvac systems.




- collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- participate in audits, gemba walks, tier meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, maintenance standards, and management systems.

required qualifications

- bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance leadership role.
- experience managing and developing maintenance personnel.
- advanced english proficiency.
- strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
- high sense of urgency and ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
