- Own the demand planning strategy and governance framework, ensuring consistent methodologies, tools, and best practices are applied across product lines, sites, and regions.
- Partner with Finance and Sales leadership to develop and manage the demand planning function’s operating budget, staffing plan, and resource allocation.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex demand risk decisions and represent the demand planning function in executive-level SIOP and business review meetings.
- Serve as the single source of truth for demand at the executive level, presenting demand scenarios, risks, and recommendations — not just numbers.
- Lead best‑in‑class demand management and forecasting processes.
- Lead the monthly demand review cycle, driving executive alignment on an aligned, consensus demand forecast at the appropriate levels.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service to align assumptions, incorporate market intelligence, and reflect changing demand drivers.
- Provide clear visibility to key customers, strategic accounts, and growth initiatives through actionable performance insights.
- Support Sales leadership with customer‑level insights for business reviews, strategic account discussions, and internal performance evaluations
- Develop and maintain statistical forecasts, including historical data management and outlier correction.
- Own demand planning KPIs and continuously improve forecast accuracy while identifying and eliminating systemic bias.
- Own demand rules, assumptions, forecast accuracy metrics, and KPI targets (e.g., MAPE, Bias); identify gaps vs. actuals, lead root‑cause corrective actions with Sales and Operations, and drive systemic improvements across SIOP.
- Own demand governance and data quality across Sales, Operations, and Finance; maintain documented demand assumptions and require justification, supporting rationale, and bias tracking from Sales for significant demand changes or exceptions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, or a related function, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity managing direct reports or cross‑functional teams.
Hard Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), necessary to perform job functions.
- Advanced – experience with ERP systems, EDI, and demand forecasting/planning software (e.g., SAP APO/IBP, Kinaxis, o9, or similar) required
