Job Description
The role supports the implementation of Cemex's global compliance initiatives, including the Global Compliance Program, with responsibilities spanning across anticorruption, anti‑money laundering, sanctions, third‑party risk management, conflicts of interest, and related regulatory matters. It contributes to the execution of compliance processes across the organization while monitoring regulatory developments, supporting trainings, audits, communication campaigns, and third‑party risk management projects while maintaining audit‑ready documentation.

Main Responsibilities

Support the implementation and ongoing execution of Cemex's General Compliance Program, including the coordination and supervision of compliance trainings, legal audits, communication campaigns, and policy updates.

Assist in the oversight and monitoring of anticorruption, AML, sanctions, conflict of interest, and other compliance‑related matters across Cemex's global operations.

Monitor applicable laws and regulations worldwide, analyze potential impacts, and assess implementation strategies for the company.

Support third‑party risk management strategies, including due diligence processes for the Cemex Group by reviewing documentation of and evaluating third parties at onboarding, while coordinating with external providers and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain organized evidence logs, records, and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements related to compliance controls and processes.

Support enhancements to compliance platforms, tools, and related communication campaigns.

Provide general support to the Legal Compliance Department on compliance matters as needed.

Qualifications

English (advanced).

Law degree.

Areas of expertise:

Corporate law (1–3 years’ experience required); and

Compliance (preferred).

Skills:

Familiarity with anti‑corruption frameworks (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, Mexico's General Law of Administrative Responsibilities) and sanctions/AML regulations, as well as other compliance‑related frameworks.

Familiarity and experience with third‑party risk assessment, KYC/KYB processes, and related activities.

Ability to maintain organized records, build evidence packages, and support internal/external audit cycles.

Comfort with compliance platforms and vendor registration systems, including the ability to identify workflow improvements and support system enhancements.

Capacity to track legislative developments across multiple jurisdictions, synthesize their impact, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for Cemex.
