Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our Essig Q engineering team located in Queretaro, MX. In this role, you will create precise 3 D models, assemblies, and technical drawings that support product development from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3 D models, assemblies, and 2 D drawings using Solid Works.
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and engineering requirements into accurate CAD models.
- Create and maintain drawing packages, including GD& T, bills of materials, and revision control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback.
- Ensure designs comply with company standards, industry practices, and manufacturing constraints.
- Participate in design reviews and communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in Solid Works (part modeling, assemblies, drawings, and related tools).
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly document designs and explain technical concepts.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles,
manufacturing processes, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD& T).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience with additional CAD tools or PDM/PLM systems.
- Previous experience with PLM Deployments, Configurations, Customization and/or Support
- Work experience in New Product Introduction, Product Development Process, CMII Change Management and/or CAD-PLM Environments
- Familiarity with sheet metal, plastic part design, or tooling design.
- Prior experience supporting product development or manufacturing environments.
