Your Job:
You will perform electrical and mechanical testing on high-speed twinax products, turning complex lab measurements into clear, actionable insights for engineering and customers.
By maintaining and improving test fixtures, managing test configurations, and analyzing results with statistical and software tools, you'll help ensure reliable product performance and support integral lab alignment.
Our Team:
You'll join the Datacom & Specialty Solution Division in Guadalajara, Mexico, reporting to the ADC Engineering Manager.
You will collaborate with design engineers and work with both internal and external customers (up to Sr. level global management), exchanging complex engineering and proprietary information.
What You Will Do:
- Execute electrical and mechanical test studies on high-speed twinax to validate performance, reliability, and behavior under real-world conditions
- Own test lab readiness by maintaining test fixtures and partnering with design engineering to continuously improve fixture capability and repeatability
- Translate measurement data into high-quality test reports for internal and external customers, enabling confident technical decisions
- Perform SI-focused investigations (e.g., skew, loss, temperature performance) and clearly communicate findings, trends, and risks
- Prepare samples (potting/cross-section) and complete dimensional analysis using vision measurement systems to support design verification
- Manage software configurations for multiple twinax part numbers and support consistency across global twinax labs
- Analyze and visualize test results using Python to highlight key drivers, correlations, and opportunities for improvement
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer) or equivalent discipline
- English **Must**:
- 1+ year of experience in test and measurement
- Hands-on test experience using VNA, TDR, or other laboratory equipment
- Working knowledge of scripted programming languages (e.g., Python)
- Strong proficiency with analytical/documentation tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong written/verbal communication skills to explain complex technical concepts
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2-5 years of progressive engineering experience with strong understanding of high-speed product testing and designs
- Extensive experience with RF/microwave test equipment (digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, 4-port network analyzers, bit error rate testers)
- Working knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory and measurements (s-parameters, Fourier transforms, characteristic impedance, eye diagrams, time-domain analysis, crosstalk, BER testing, jitter analysis)
- RF/microwave circuit design and PCB layout experience (Mentor Graphics PADS or Cadence Allegro); exposure to advanced PCB fabrication methods
- Electromagnetic simulation experience (Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave Studio)
- Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt training; familiarity with control charts, process capability, gage R&R;, and related tools
