What will you do?
- Provide support on machines and/or areas that involve a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with the purpose of improving the process, maintaining it, and/or anticipating failures that could result in prolonged downtime,
as well as reducing costs generated by external service providers.
- Execute each assigned task with quality and basic safety criteria.
- Prepare the corresponding reports for each assigned task, indicating time spent and materials consumed.
- Restore equipment to proper operating conditions before returning it to production.
- Report any safety risk or potential failure detected on the serviced equipment.
- Diagnose failures using the corresponding software and resolve PLC-related issues.
- Propose updates to equipment related to programmable logic control.
- Provide support on production lines and PLC-related test fields.
What do you need to succeed?
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
- More than 5 years of experience as a PLC Programmer.
- Intermediate English Level.
- Electrical risk, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).
- Low-voltage electrical circuits: ***** VDC and *********** VAC.
- Interpretation of electrical diagrams (European and American systems) and basic electronic diagrams.
- Interpretation of pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams, including symbology and nomenclature; pneumatic and hydraulic control and power circuits; actuators, etc.
- Machine failure diagnosis, interpretation of PLC inputs/outputs, and HMI interfaces on CNC machines.
- Basic maintenance of electronic equipment, boards, and drives.
- Teamwork.
- Knowledge of 6S.
