The DFMEA Engineer is experienced with failure mode effects analysis (DFMEA) and will work together with SFMEA and PFMEA engineers promoting process connectivity. The DFMEA Engineer will have a key role in operationalizing Quality Chain by standardizing DFMEA processes across the company.
The DFMEA Engineer must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, championing change and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role will drive DFMEA process execution to be common and standardized across GM globally in support of defect free execution:
- Develop and maintain DFMEA Process and Standards. Update and modify as required in STAGEs
- Support the establishment of new requirements and FMEA standards for templates, DFMEA connectivity, DFMEA program quality expectations and DRBFM
- Develop training material and audits to support DFMEA process and execution
- Train/coach/calibrateDFMEA activities across GM SMTs globally, suppliers and partners
- Strong understanding of GVDP and GPDP timing related to DFMEA PQRRs/PSQRRs deliverables
- Support the Development of New FMEA+ software
- Work cross-functionally with GM IT and PMO
- Work with Global Teams to ensure end user concerns identified
**Additional Job Description**
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor is Engineering or Technical Bachelor's degree
- 3 years experience
- Strong Product and Process Development experience
- Experience with quality tools as such as ICDs, KCDS, SFMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Advanced Development, Systems Engineering, Subsystem and Components Engineering, Propulsion Systems and Supplier Quality
Proficient in Excel, Word, Power point (Microsoft Office)
- Skilled in developing presentations and training
- Comfortable speaking in front of others
**Preferred Qualifications**:




- SharePoint, AUROS and Power BI knowledge is desirable
- Advanced Degree
