Job Summary
The
_Sr. Supply Chain Manager - Automotive_ will be based in
_Farmington Hills, MI_. In this role you will be responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of world class supply chain strategies, processes and procedures within our Automotive segment that are consistent with established company policies, worldwide material/procurement strategies and provide Flex and our customers with a strategic market advantage. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the methods and processes in support of both new and existing products for the Americas.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do- Create and implement a general supply chain strategy in support of the Global program that is synchronized with business segment material strategies and metrics- Implement programs to optimize inventory turnover while mitigating inventory exposure and reducing risk for both Flex and our customer. These activities include implementation of contractual excess and obsolescence terms with the customer as well as supplier managed inventory programs- Participate in the review of vendor and customer contracts by outlining requirements and considerations- Reviews materials related data analyses- Participate with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives- Direct the activities of supply chain managers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area- Interact regularly with executives, customers and vendors- Drive supply chain management strategies to deliver customer requirements and maintain Flex's financial competitiveness- Provide supplier management as related to product development and integration
