We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team for a project involving the upgrade of Linux from version 6 to RHEL 8.X. This project entails hosting legacy engineering tools and EDA tools.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct surveys of existing environments to identify OS dependencies and compatibility concerns.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues with in-house engineering tools.
- Download and build newer versions of legacy open-source tools, ensuring proper operation on the target OS.
**Requirements**:
- Working experience with EDA tools.
- HPC compute grids.
- Linux VDI environments (OpenText Exceed TurboX).
- Proficiency in spoken, written, and reading English.
- Experience compiling/working with source code (open source and in-house) and resolving runtime issues.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Perl, Unix shell.
- Intermediate+ Unix system administration skills
