we are looking for a senior software engineer (api) with extensive experience in java, spring boot, rest apis, and microservices to join a team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting client-facing applications and services
the idóneo candidate is a hands‑on senior engineer with strong enterprise software development experience, solid api and microservices expertise, and exposure to ai-powered applications, intelligent automation, or generative ai solutions.
responsibilities
- design and develop high-quality, scalable software features and services.
- design, build, and maintain rest apis.
- develop enterprise applications using java and spring boot.
- work with modern microservices-based architectures.
- apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and peer programming.
- translate customer and business requirements into technical designs.
- collaborate with architects and engineering teams on software design and architecture.
- balance new feature development, defect resolution, and technical debt.
- work closely with devops teams to build and maintain ci/cd pipelines.
- apply api management concepts and work with tools such as apim.
- participate actively in agile ceremonies, including story refinement.
- leverage ai-assisted engineering tools such as github copilot and claude code to accelerate development and improve code quality.
- contribute to ai-powered applications, intelligent automation solutions, or generative ai-enabled products.
requisitos required qualifications
- 8-12 years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in enterprise applications.
- strong hands‑on experience with java 8/11/17+.
- strong professional experience with spring boot.
- hands‑on experience with spring mvc and spring security.
- strong experience designing and developing rest apis.
- solid experience with microservices architecture.
- understanding of api management concepts and platforms such as apim.
- experience with software engineering best practices, including unit testing and code reviews.
- experience working with ci/cd and devops teams.
- strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- advanced english (b2+/c1) for collaboration with international teams.
