key responsibilities1.
talent acquisition & onboardinglead end-to-end recruitment across sales, operations, and back-office functions.source top talent using linkedin recruiter, local job boards, and industry networks.manage seamless onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure an exceptional employee experience.2.
labor law compliance & employee relationsensure strict adherence to mexican federal labor law (ley federal del trabajo - lft), nom-035, nom-037, and repse regulations.handle workplace grievances, disciplinary processes, and legal risk mitigation.manage labor unions (if applicable), employee terminations, and severance calculations (finiquito / liquidación) with legal compliance.3.
payroll & benefits coordinationcollaborate with external payroll vendors/accounting teams to ensure accurate,
timely bi-weekly/monthly payroll processing.oversee mandatory social security and tax reporting (imss, infonavit, fonacot, sat).
manage local employee benefits (stipends, private health insurance, food vouchers, statutory bonuses like aguinaldo and ptu).4.
mobility & immigration managementmanage local visa and work permit applications (inm - instituto nacional de migración) for expatriate staff and international consultants.oversee visa renewals, employer registration updates (constancia de empleador), and local immigration compliance.5.
business partnership & hr operationsserve as the primary hr point of contact for local department heads and foreign expat managers.implement performance management cycles, local team-building events, and organizational development initiatives.maintain accurate hris data, organizational charts, and hr metrics reporting.qualifications & requirementsexperience: 5+ years of hands-on hr experience in mexico as an hr generalist, hrbp, or hr operations manager (preferably in a chinese, asian, or integral mnc context).
education: bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations, law, or related fields.core expertise: deep knowledge of mexican labor law (lft), imss/sat compliance, end-to-end recruitment, and inm visa processes.language skills:spanish: native / bilingual fluency.english: professional working / fluent (essential for global reporting).
mandarin chinese fluency is a strong plus.competencies: high emotional intelligence, strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a multicultural matrix organization.
