**Job Overview**:
The Welding Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of Welding and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Welding problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Welding Engineer understands critical business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Design and develop welding procedures for various welding techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications while addressing project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Teams to determine welding techniques, consumables, and equipment needed to meet project objectives.
- Conduct weld procedure qualifications and manage the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) library.




- Offer technical expertise and guidance on welding-related matters to Cross-Functional Teams and Project Stakeholders.
- Review engineering designs and specifications to ensure weldability and conformity to industry codes and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor the quality and adherence to welding standards.
- Identify potential welding-related challenges and provide innovative solutions to optimize welding processes.
- Monitor welding activities, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality control requirements.
- Oversee welder performance, assessing their skills and providing training or guidance as necessary.
- Conduct visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds to verify compliance with acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with NDT technicians to interpret test results and address any quality issues.
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering or a related field.
- Three-eight (3-8) years of experience in the EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials used in the industry.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, codes, and specifications (e.g., ASME, AWS, API)
- Familiarity with welding software, simulation tools, and non-destructive testing method.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.Certifications such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) are desired.
