- Link lean Manufacturing activities to company objectives by developing and maintaining detailed value stream maps, metrics and control plans for the key processes.
- Educate and mentor colleagues of the company about Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, visual management, set-up reduction, etc.
- Integrate efforts across the company to ensure a focused and consistent approach for optimizing and standardizing processes.
- Serve as a change agent in institutionalizing the Lean “problem-solving” culture and toolset.
- Tracking of project progress and status.
- Weekly project status reports defining project’s progress to communicate to management.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare and/or edit meeting minutes and presentations.
- Drives clarity and focus in cross-group situations.
- Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
- Maintain contact with project team members to ensure clarification of project goals and results.
- Follow up on action items with project team members to ensure that they are completed by their due dates.
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to management.
- Estimate project skill requirements and work with department managers to identify appropriate resources.
- Perform special projects as requested.
- Three or more years of experience implementing Lean processes, with experience in driving change and process improvement.
- Requires leadership, orientation Process Engineering experience and team needs.
- Ability to lead, influence and set a positive example to others.
- Must have independent work skills, a strong work ethic, strong leadership and the ability to handle difficult situations.
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams; internal and external teams.
