- improve sand casting / iron casting processes and production yield.
- troubleshoot casting defects such as porosity, ncu, core shift, over-grinding, inclusions, and dimensional issues .
- conduct process audits and ensure foundry process controls are followed.
- analyze production, scrap, yield, and defect trends using data-driven methods.
- work with complex core assemblies, material flow, and production tracking .
- analyze machining feedback and pareto defect maps to identify foundry root causes.
- lead 8d, root cause analysis, doe, capa, and continuous improvement activities.
- understand casting drawings, machining drawings, cad models, gd&t;, and specifications .
- support new product validation, process development, and production ramp-up .
- drive improvements in yield, throughput, quality, and production efficiency .
- communicate effectively in english and spanish .
