The Senior Logistics Buyer is responsible for managing and optimizing the
procurement of transportation and logistics services to ensure cost-effective,
timely, and high-quality delivery of goods. This role involves strategic
sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and collaboration with
internal stakeholders to support operational efficiency and supply chain goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop and execute sourcing strategies for transportation and logistics
services (e.g., freight, warehousing, customs brokerage).
* Negotiate contracts and service agreements with logistics providers to ensure
competitive pricing and service levels.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality,
and compliance.
* Analyze logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities through
consolidation, mode optimization, and supplier performance.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) to
align logistics procurement with business needs.




* Stay current with market trends, regulations, and innovations in logistics
and transportation.
* Manage RFQs, RFPs, and supplier selection processes.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and
sustainability initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or
related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS,
ISM, CPSM) is a plus.
* 5+ years of experience in logistics procurement or supply chain management.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Proficiency in procurement systems and data analysis tools (e.g., SAP,
Oracle, Excel).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms.
