About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting, AR/AP, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple entities and projects. This role will serve as the central financial operator for the company’s development platform—supporting land acquisition, construction, leasing, property management, and investor reporting functions. The idóneo candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, understands real estate development accounting, and is comfortable building processes that scale. This position is based in Houston, Texas, with travel to Lubbock and other Texas markets as needed to support project teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Reporting
Oversee all accounting operations for multiple real estate entities (development, holding, property management, and joint ventures).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) by entity and consolidated.
Develop and maintain project-level cost tracking, job cost reports,



and budget-to-actual variance analysis.
Coordinate preparation of draw packages for lenders and equity partners.
Lead investor reporting, including capital account tracking and distribution calculations.
Support leadership with financial dashboards and forward-looking cash flow projections.

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
Manage full-cycle AP and AR processes across development and operating entities.
Oversee invoice coding to proper projects, phases, and cost categories.
Ensure timely vendor payments, lien waiver collection, and compliance documentation.
Track builder reimbursements, tenant reimbursements, and other receivables.
Monitor aging reports and proactively manage collections.

Development & Construction Accounting
Track horizontal and vertical construction budgets, infrastructure costs, and capital expenditures.
Monitor contingency balances and cost reclassifications.
