Job Summary
This position is a team member of the Caterpillar IT Data Integration team and serves as a technical and functional subject matter expert for general standards-based electronic data interchange (EDI) and Business to Business (B2B) integrations across the enterprise. This role enables critical Source-to-Pay, Logistics, Manufacturing, Dealer, and Supplier transaction flows by providing EDI business engagement and design solutions, governing integration standards, delivering technical oversight,



and ensuring production stability for externally facing B2B integration platforms.

What You Will Do:
- Provide EDI design solutions to business stakeholders, application teams and suppliers by analyzing business requirements, assessing downstream impacts, recommending standards-based integration approaches, and designing recommended transaction, routing, and implementation options.
- Act as a lead expert for EDI and B2B integrations using X12 and EDIFACT standards, supporting global business partners across multiple Caterpillar business units
- Approve proper configuration, routing, testing, and production readiness for a range of transaction types for supplier, dealer and trading partner onboarding activities
- Provide thought leadership and governance for EDI standards and versioning decisions by evaluating business requirements and determining when adoption of new versions or guidelines is warranted versus maintaining existing
