POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Controller serves as the senior finance partner for the San José
manufacturing facility, providing financial leadership, operational support, and
strategic guidance to drive plant performance. This role is responsible for
ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls,
supporting business planning processes, and partnering with operations
leadership to improve profitability, productivity, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
* Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities.
* Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
processes.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, operating results, and plant
performance metrics.
* Monitor inventory, fixed assets, capital expenditures, and manufacturing
variances.
* Ensure compliance with Gates accounting policies, financial controls, and
reporting requirements.
Operational Finance
* Partner with plant and corporate leadership to drive financial performance
and operational efficiency.
* Analyze labor, material, overhead, scrap, and manufacturing variances and
recommend corrective actions.
* Support productivity initiatives, cost reduction programs, and continuous
improvement projects.
* Develop financial models and business cases to support operational
decision-making.
* Evaluate new capital investments and monitor project returns.
