Job Summary:
Design, development, and testing of electrical systems to support R&D; and product development functions; as well as leading a team to develop design requirements, work with sensor R&D;, mechanical, software, and supply chain teams throughout the product life cycle, develop and validate designs that meet those requirements and ensure a successful transition into mass production.
Job Responsibilities:
Create electrical systems and components for various operations, including power systems, household appliances and electronic devices.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all electrical equipment.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for boiler-related failures and performance issues.
Provide mentorship and training to engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
Prepare and maintain operational documentation,
including reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
BSc. or HND in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of work experience in boiler design, operation, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Membership with COREN, NSE and any other recognized Engineering professional body (e.g., PMP, ACEN, NAE, APWEN).
