Project Summary

The Leveling the Field for American Workers in U.S.-Mexico Trade (LEVEL) project, funded by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL), supports the effective implementation of labor rights and labor reform commitments in Mexico, with a focus on strengthening compliance, improving labor relations, and promoting fair and transparent workplace practices. Through collaboration with government institutions, the private sector, worker organizations, and other key stakeholders, the project seeks to strengthen capacities, increase awareness and adoption of labor standards, and foster constructive dialogue among labor market actors.

Position Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Worker & Union Engagement, leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities designed to strengthen the capacity, effectiveness, and engagement of worker organizations and workers. Working under the technical guidance of project leaderships the Senior Coordinator oversees a portfolio of activities focused on enhancing worker representation,



promoting awareness of labor rights, and supporting constructive engagement among workers, unions, employers, and government stakeholders.

The Senior Coordinator collaborates closely with technical specialists, consultants, and project staff to design and implement capacity-strengthening initiatives, training programs, outreach activities, and technical assistance for worker organizations. The position supports efforts to improve workers’ understanding of labor rights and responsibilities, strengthen organizational capacity, and increase meaningful participation in labor relations processes.
