Project Summary

The Leveling the Field for American Workers in U.S.-Mexico Trade (LEVEL) project, funded by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL), supports the effective implementation of labor rights and labor reform commitments in Mexico, with a focus on strengthening compliance, improving labor relations, and promoting fair and transparent workplace practices. Through collaboration with government institutions, the private sector, worker organizations, and other key stakeholders, the project seeks to strengthen capacities, increase awareness and adoption of labor standards, and foster constructive dialogue among labor market actors.

Position Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Private Sector Compliance leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities designed to strengthen labor compliance and responsible business practices within the private sector. Working under the guidance of project leadership, the Senior Coordinator oversees a portfolio of technical activities, ensuring effective integration with monitoring,



evaluation, and learning (MEL) processes and alignment with broader program objectives.

The role focuses on promoting compliance with labor laws and standards, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and supporting initiatives that improve workplace practices, reduce labor rights violations, and strengthen compliance across supply chains. The Senior Coordinator provides technical leadership on private sector engagement strategies and collaborates closely with technical specialists, consultants, employer organizations, and other key stakeholders to design and implement effective interventions.

The Senior Coordinator collaborates across multidisciplinary teams to ensure that activities are evidence-based, responsive to stakeholder needs, and informed by data and learning. The position also supports partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing
