Job Summary
- The Assistant Supply Chain Manager will be part of Electrical & Mechanical Sourcing team which is part of NEXTracker Supply Chain team at large. General responsibilities will include scouting & benchmarking suppliers, landed cost analysis, contract administration, preparation of reports, presentations & correspondence, market/data research & analysis and data tracking. A highly motivated, focused, and positive attitude is essential to this role as working within renewable energy industry can often be demanding and challenging, with shifting priorities to keep growing at lightning speed.
- What a typical day looks like:
- _ Data collection, mining & analysis from various sources to help Sourcing Managers develop and execute sourcing strategy._
- _ Supplier scouting and benchmarking for electrical and electro-mechanical components based on criteria set by Sourcing Managers._
- _ Intense collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams for scouting new sources, defining supplier selection criteria, new supplier qualification, supplier cost recovery and new product introduction._
- _ Prepare and manage RFQs, support supplier negotiations and escalations._
- _ Support manage cost roadmaps, capacity planning, and allocation strategy._
- _ Help maintain supplier performance metrics and organize QBRs with suppliers._
- _ Perform supply and demand analysis, landed cost analysis, supplier performance trends, cost of quality analysis, weighted average scoring and analysis for various situations supply chain team encounters._




- _ Help drive new supplier qualification and onboarding processes._
- The experience we’re looking to add to our team (required):
- _ Bachelor’s degree in a related field._
- _ Senior supply chain experience._
- _ Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and high level of proficiency with Excel: comfortable with Pivot Tables, Vlookups and complex formula creation._
- _ Interpretation of complex documents. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions._
- _ Exceptional English communication skills both written and oral, strong grammar, with experience in content editing and preparing formal reports and presentation._
- _ Effective Communicator with ability to influence suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders._
- _ Good project management skills with ability to plan tasks, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members across multiple projects concurrently._
- _ Must be comfortable in a supporting role, taking direction from and working closely with a supervisor on a regular basis._
- _ Enjoys working in a dynamic & multi-cultural environment._
