Controls quality costs and monitors records of product defects and failure rates.
Manages and trains department staff.

- Coordinates with other function managers in planning and implementing quality programs.
- Establishes quality policies that ensure compliance at the lowest possible cost.
- Reviews external complaints for the purpose of developing appropriate quality policies and standards.
- Manages and executes quality programs that lead to improvements in quality, costs and overall efficiency.
- Advises management on the overall quality standard of products.
- Manages and trains a team of specialists.

- Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline
- 10 plus years of experience.
- 5 to 10 years quality engineering experience
- 3 plus years of management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection equipment and techniques, root cause failure analysis, statistical distributions, assembly processes, problem solving, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and CAD
- Knowledge of QS-9000 / IATF16949 automotive quality standards required.
- Quality Manager Certification a plus
