A Day in Your Life at MKS:
This position will be reporting to the Sr Purchasing Supervisor
Principal Responsibilities:
• Plan, schedule and monitor material movement through the production cycle
• Evaluate vendor reliability and develop solutions in case of material shortages
• Monitor cost and consolidate contracts where required to create cost-effective purchasing models
• Develop new supply sources where required to keep operations stocked and able to generate the desired output
• Actively maintain inventory and collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate stock
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred
• 2+ years of related experience
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Noise level in the work environment is usually average
