**Planner / Buyer Job Summary**
**Planner / Buyer Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain a complete, accurate and updated Item Master
- Create an MRP report and MPS for the plants in NY and Juarez Mexico
- Negotiate better prices and terms with vendors
- Issue Purchase Orders to vendors for direct materials and MRO
- Liaise with domestic and foreign vendors and transportation partners to determine idóneo scheduling and timelines necessary to fulfill customer requirements in the most cost effective way
- Develop contingency plans to account for temporary materials or transportation disruption
- Maintain optimal level inventories to maximize cash flow while insuring no interruptions on supply
- Maintain a materials cost reduction program




- Work with production managers in NY and Juarez Mexico on the execution of the productions plans
**Planner / Buyer Requirements and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics, or a relevant field
- Experience with materials and production planning, vendor relationship management, and forecasting
- Perfect understanding of inventory management concepts
- Strong proficiency with ERP software and spreadsheets
- Fully Bilingual English/Spanish
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
