Role purpose
The API Integration Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the connectivity and functionality of our software systems. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing APIs E2E (middleware & backed logic) that enable seamless communication between applications and services. The idóneo candidate will have a strong understanding of API protocols and hands-on experience with integration tools.
The role requires a strong technical background and a deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs. Proficiency in programming languages such as Cobol, Java, Python or JavaScript is essential for building reliable integrations. A solid grasp of data formats such as JSON and XML is crucial for effective data exchange between systems. In addition, experience with API authentication methods,
including OAuth and API keys, is required to ensure secure integration.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential. The API Integration Specialist will play a key role in driving innovation and efficiency in integration processes, contributing to the overall success of technology initiatives.
Main activities:
Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integration services to meet business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze integration needs
Apply appropriate API styles and patterns (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC) and ensure consistent standards across services.
Monitor API health and performance; troubleshoot incidents and implement root-cause fixes.
Create and update technical documentation for API integrations.
