Location: Remote, Mexico
Nexaminds is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python and solid Java experience to design, build, optimize, and scale high-performance backend systems and cloud-native applications. The idóneo candidate is passionate about building modern backend solutions with Python while also contributing to Java-based services in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Experience with AI/LLM integrations is highly valued.
Requirements:
5–8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with strong Python development skills and solid experience with Java.
Hands-on experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines using Python and Java.
Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
Experience designing and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI/ML backend integration patterns.
Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and code quality.
Strong Application Security (AppSec) mindset, with experience identifying and remediating codebase and dependency vulnerabilities.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional product, data, and infrastructure teams.
Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
