Your tasks

* Responsible for all purchased parts that apply to a customer project
regarding costs, quality and deadlines.
* Support special project sourcing strategies that are a part of new
high-dollar, critical components with long-term, preferred suppliers.
* Provides cost and quality wise favorable quotations for required materials
out of the NAFTA market.
* Perform cost and value analysis in cooperation with other departments,
centers and product teams.
* Investigation of potentials for substitution of material and alternate
manufacturing processes.
* Provides support to production in regards to change management coordination
of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical
improvements.




* Initiates and records cost avoidances during launch timeframe.
* Supports all members of the customer team for purchasing activities.
* Responsible for the issuance of RFQ's prior to SOP as well as engineering
changes during this time period. Also, initiates RFQ's and engineering
changes during current production.
* Consolidation of proposals and Target-Price-Setting in coordination with the
other departments.

Your Profile

* 3 years experience in similar position
* Fluent English is a must
* Experience in cost breakdown analysis, project management and supply chain
management is desirable
* Strong negotiation skills
