**Job Summary/Overview**:
Provide tooling and technical support to the operation. Develops and implements fixtures, tools, machines, checking fixtures and methods to meet the needs of the operation and supports continuous improvement. Supports the development of new processes through tooling to ensure repeatability and product quality. Controls standard and special tools for cutting, clamping, forming, generating and assembly.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Solid knowledge of conventional and CNC machining machines.
- Mastercam 2022 or newer to model cutting paths and program for 2 to 5 axis machines.
- Interpretation and generation of drawings according to ASME Y14.5, knowledge of fits and tolerances.
- Develop CAD solids and tooling assemblies at machine and part interfaces.
- Analyze blueprints, engineering models, engineering drawings and electronic control tools prior to programming and compare results to original planning specifications.
- Define, procure and control all fixtures, tooling and tooling required for operation.
- Review engineering drawings and provide guidance to operators on the use of their fixtures.




- Manage external suppliers that support to make the required tooling, privileging the interests of the plant and internal manufacturing.
- Reverse engineer parts to create tooling and models; models must be thorough and complete to verify safety, usability and interferences prior to manufacturing.
- Control your tooling manufacturing processes, drawings, CNC programs, visual aids...etc..
- Implement the latest technology in your area.
- Develop tooling operation manuals, visual aids, pokajokes, Checking Fixtures, SMED and work instruction for the products in the area.
**Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities**:
- Multi-tasking turning centers with double spindle, double turret, Y-axis and live tooling, Okuma preferred.
- CNC programming on the machine (Indispensable)
- Programming on Master Cam 2022 (Indispensable)
- CNC machining of high, medium and low carbon steel, bronze and aluminum.
- High level CNC machine operation.
- In-depth knowledge of Solidworks and AutoCAD.
