**Description**:
Responsible for supervising staff and processes so that orders are pulled/shipped correctly and in a timely fashion. Coordinates all of the assigned facility’s shipping functions daily. Oversees personnel in the materials department to ensure timely delivery. Maintains and files all necessary records and reports.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plans and coordinates activities related to the receiving, packaging, storing, and shipping of products.
- Assign employees to daily tasks.
- Picks orders when necessary and sorts by carrier and priority.
- Pulls and packs orders when necessary.
- Tracks and maintains records for export documents.
- Prepares documents for both domestic and international shipping.
- Obtains freight quotes on various shipments, as requested by the customer or marketing group.
- Assists with inventory control and prepares for physical inventories. Issues cycle counts for assigned inventory.
- Research and resolves lost and/or damaged freight.
- Communicate with internal customers on shipment details to provide timely shipping of sales orders.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
- Ensures inventory accuracy and inventory control. Prepares reports.
- Assists the department in tracking inventory errors and makes appropriate corrections/
recommendations.
- Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies. Tracks scrap and Excess & Obsolete products.
- Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:




- Associate degree in business management or a related field (preferred).
- Five to seven years of relevant education or experience in shipping, logistics, or a related area (required).
