What are we looking for?
The Software Engineer is responsible for the electronic technical aspects of equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and high-level software systems. This role is responsible for the design, development, integration, and automation of manufacturing processes through both hardware and software solutions, ensuring reliable system performance, operational efficiency, and compliance with company and customer requirements.
Activities
Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to electrical test systems and automated equipment, including direct interaction with PLC-controlled systems and LabVIEW-based applications.
Continuously improve manufacturing processes by optimizing system performance and reducing production cycle times.
Reduce false failures and improve the accuracy and reliability of electrical test equipment and machine vision systems.
Design, develop, and automate manufacturing processes by implementing hardware and software solutions.
Obtain quotations and procure critical replacement parts for electrical test and automated equipment.
Validate externally manufactured electrical test systems and automated equipment in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure compliance with design and operational requirements.
Analyze recurring equipment and process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of production equipment through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
