What You Can Expect
Responsible for the Mexico unit´s Fixed Assets/Leasing/Prepaid expenses related tasks: prepare and document in adherence to corporate policy, including month end activities closing entries and adjustments.
Safeguard accurate posting of asset in fixed asset ledgers in a timely manner
Collaborate closely with Production,
Corporate accounting and Auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP guidelines (ASC 360/340/842) and company policy and procedures.
Ensure timeline and accurate bookings of Construction in Progress, Fixed Asset Capitalization, Fixed Assets scraping and accelerations
Perform fixed assets depreciation, fixed asset write-offs, projections as needed and especially for budget planning purposes
Prepare and review fixed asset account reconciliations and analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy and resolve account discrepancies on a timely basis
Oversee SOX controls in Fixed assets process: CAR approvals, Capitalizations, inventory, disposals, asset transfers, leasing additions/disposals
Plan, coordinate count and record results of periodic fixed assets physical inventory
Periodic assessment regarding assets impairment
Drive integral process automation, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives for fixed assets geared towards operational improvement and alignme
