About the Role:
As a Brokerage Intern at Uber Freight, you will gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of freight brokerage and logistics operations. You will play a key role in supporting activities including booking, shipping, and tracking coordination for both import and export shipments. With a focus on operational efficiency, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving, this internship offers the opportunity to develop essential skills in transportation management and logistics execution.
What You’ll Do:
Learn and Assist with Shipment Tracking: Support tracking and monitoring of shipments by contacting carriers for status updates and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
Develop Communication Skills: Assist in notifying shippers and receivers of load statuses, rescheduling appointments when needed, and maintaining professional relationships.
Gain Hands-On Experience with Logistics Systems: Learn to use the Carrier Portal, TMS,
and Macropoint to support shipment tracking and automation.
Observe and Identify Process Improvements: Help analyse shipment patterns and suggest potential improvements to enhance efficiency.
Support Daily Operations: Take an active role in assisting with shipment coordination, follow-ups on detention requests, and contributing to a smooth logistics workflow.
Basic Qualifications
Active student currently in their 6th or 7th semester pursuing a Bachelor's in International Business, International Relations, Logistics or a related technical subject area.
Skills: Attention to detail, Urgency, decision-making, proactivity, responsibility, organisation.
Language: Mid English (required).
Availability to work part-time, 30 hours/ week

Front Office: Email drafting, calendar management.
