**Summary**:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven **Transportation Manager** to join our dynamic operations team supporting the Americas region. In this pivotal role, you will drive process improvements, evaluate and optimize carrier performance, manage a fleet of over 30 vehicles, and contribute to various strategic initiatives. This highly visible position requires exceptional communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to achieving operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and evaluate carrier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive service and cost improvements. Create and communicate KPI dashboards with insights to stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Oversee the fleet program,
managing over 30 delivery vehicles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and execute transportation related projects.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate employees on process improvement techniques and best practices.
- Create detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation and a problem-solving mindset across teams.
- Lead a team of 2-3 direct reports, including 1 remote team member
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience with US and Mexico Transportation & Logistics.
- Proven experience in carrier and fleet management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exceptional English communication skills - mandatory.
Idóneo:
- Knowledge of and experience with project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems as well as data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience with Fleet management providers and/or telematics devices
