**Job Description Summary**: The Generator & Electrical Systems Product Service will own projects and initiatives with proper scope and potentially high impact to the Gas Power business. This engineering professional will closely collaborate with extended and multiple cross functional teams to develop robust, innovative, cost-effective solutions to generator & electrical systems related issues to provide safe and reliable operation for customer equipment as well as the needs of the business.
L’Ingénieur(e) Maintenance des produits Alternateurs et Systèmes Électriques assume la responsabilité de projets et d’initiatives avec une portée appropriée et un impact potentiellement important pour la branche Gas Power. Il/Elle collaborera étroitement avec de nombreuses équipes interfonctionnelles pour proposer des solutions solides, innovantes et rentables pour les problèmes liés aux alternateurs et aux systèmes électriques, afin de garantir un fonctionnement sûr et fiable de l'équipement du client et de répondre aux besoins de la branche.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Participate in and potentially lead root cause investigations for issues with significant fleet impact from initial investigation through the CAPA phase.
- Resolve technical issues in Generator technology for customers timely and efficiently
- Assure all component designs meet requirements for customers
- Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services operations, quality and design engineering to fulfill customer needs.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls and Instrumentation engineering.
- 2 years of Experience with generator engineering experience or related technology or a Master's degree in the relevant field.
- Must be willing to travel 10 to 15% domestically and internationally on short notice.
- Must be willing to accept a local hiring in intended location as listed
- Bilingual English/French or/and Spanish preferred.

- Support customer technical review meetings and present recommendations to champion GEV's commitment to technical solutions.
- Support unplanned/forced outages to meet availability goals.
- Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal activities.
- Support authoring knowledge articles as well as customer communications, including: TILs (Technical Information Letter), PSSB (Product Service Safety Bulletin), PSIB (Product Service Information Bulletin), and Safety communications.
This is NOT a Integral Mobility assignment.

**Desired Characteristics**
- Masters degree in Engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical, materials, or systems engineering, or MBA.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Self-starter with initiative and interpersonal skills to direct projects and work, of cross
- functional nature, with demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.

- Support team members in fulfilling the established business operational processes and commitments

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 5%
